What Is An Interest Group?
- A number of WCCR members gather together to share a common interest or hobby
- It is a great method of meeting new people and forming lasting friendships
- Groups can be comprised of 3 or 4 people, or as many as 20
- There ususally are one or two “leaders” who oversee the group
- Gatherings can be once weekly, monthly, or even just occasionally
What Types Of Groups Are There At Present?
- Cultural, such as “Out to Art”
- Two different kinds of cooking groups
- Members who gather to go “Out to Lunch” or “Out to Dinner”
- Games, such as scrabble or bridge
- Language groups: Spanish, French
- Crafts
- Field trips
- Book club groups
Feel free to start a group, or suggest a group you would like to participate in; for example, Gourmet dinners, card games, flowers, fabric paining, music, YOU name it!
How Can I Join?
- Check the monthly news letter for current interest groups
- You may contact one of the leaders directly
- Call or send an e-mail message to Cindy Marshall at the above address
- Start a new group and register it with Cindy
Note: You must be a member of the Women’s Club of Costa Rica to participate in an Interest Group.
